The Legionaries of Christ, an order of priests dedicated to charity and education throughout the world, has embarked to develop a new university on the site of a former IBM training facility. Designed on a 164.7 acre site in central Westchester County, and based on a Long Range Plan, the new university will be comprised of colleges of Arts and Sciences and Education, as well as new Library, Student Union, Gymnasium and Dormitory buildings, totaling 628,400 square feet. Complying with strict, local regulations on open space, the new campus would include 30 acres of multi-purpose play fields including intra-mural and inter-collegiate soccer & football fields.
